Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Your data belongs to you. Dias is a travel logging app that helps you track and visualize your journeys. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

What we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, GitHub, Apple, or Discord, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your provider. When you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, we receive only your email address. We use this to create your Dias profile.

Profile information

You can add a username, display name, bio, and website link to your profile. This information is public and visible to other Dias members.

Travel data

The visits, routes, places, saves, and photos you log are stored in maps in your account. Each map is a draft or private (visible only to you), public (visible to anyone and listed on your profile), or collaborative (visible to you and the members you invite, who can add to it).

Technical data

We collect standard web analytics: pages visited, browser type, and IP address. This goes to Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics 4 so we can understand aggregate usage and troubleshoot issues. We don't run ads, and we don't use this data for cross-site tracking.

How we use it

  • To provide the Dias service and let you log your travels
  • To display your public profile and the maps you've published to other users
  • To send you important service updates (no marketing emails)
  • To improve Dias based on how people use it

We never sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Dias uses these services to operate:

  • Supabase — Database and authentication hosting (PostgreSQL)
  • Vercel — Website hosting, deployment, and Vercel Analytics
  • Google Analytics 4 — Aggregated usage analytics
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery, including sign-in codes
  • Google, GitHub, Apple, Discord — Sign-in authentication providers

Each service has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required to operate Dias.

  • Edit — You can update your profile and travel data anytime
  • Delete — You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings
  • Export — Contact us to request an export of your data

How we protect your data

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
  • Passwords are never stored — you sign in with a provider or a one-time email code
  • Database access is protected by row-level security policies
  • We don't store payment information (Dias is free)
